LABIA MAJORA
1) Valva is surrounded by labia majora on each side.
2) It looks prominent and elevated of skin due to subcutaneous fat under the skin.
3) There is adipose tissue deposited under the skin.
4) It contain sweat gland beneath the skin and covered with squamous epithelium.
5) Adipose tissue under the skin supply with venous plexus.( It is set of interconnected blood vessel).
6) It is homologous with the scrotum in the male.
7) It is two fold of skin which protect vaginal orifice and urethral opening.
8) No hair in inner surface of labia majora.outer surface covered with pubic hair.
